Second-order nonlinear optical organic molecules with conjugated heterocyclic backbones

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Second-order nonlinear optical organic molecules are currently under intense investigation due to the very large nonlinearities which are possible. The role of conjugation in facilitating through-bond interactions in such optically nonlinear molecules is well known.
