Abstract

Theoretical work1 has indicated that four-wave mixing is a possible source of pump replication in experiments1,2 that have been carried out at the Naval Research Laboratory. In these experiments, several off-axis pump beams supply power through the Raman effect to a centrally propagating Stokes beam.
