Abstract

We report the first demonstration of efficient frequency doubling of a Nd:YAG laser using the new nonlinear crystal of LiB3O5 operated at the noncritically phase-matched (type-1) temperature of 149°C. Acceptance width (3.9 °C-cm) and angular widths were measured.
