Astigmatic rainbow holography with a synthetic slit

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

The theory of astigmatic rainbow holography with no slit is explored. The synthetic slit is composed by translating the imaging cylindrical lens in the recording scheme. It is found that the synthetic slit is localized on the cylindrical lens plane, and astigmatic rainbow holograms result where the vertical and horizontal magnifications of the reconstructed image are matched.
