Casimir forces and gratings

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Casimir forces for parallel plates have been extensively studied. We first briefly review the Green's function technique for obtaining the parallel plate result. Then, using the Green's function for a grating we derive the lowest-order correction when one of the plates is replaced by a grating.
