Abstract

Vinylidene fluoride/trifluoroethylene (VDF/TrFE) has a stable ferroelectric property and can produce single-harmonic generation.1 We investigated the electro-optic coefficients in VDF/TrFE thin films and found that the electro-optic effect is relevant to the dipole alignment of the thin film and to the frequency of the applied field.
