Interactions for two solitons in Raman-pumped fibers

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

The interactions between two neighboring solitons in a bidirectional Raman-pumped fiber system is considered. We choose two different separations between two adjacent solitons and three different pumping periods to illustrate this work. For the separation equal to 10 times the soliton pulse width, the interaction between solitons is negligible. With the BPM simulation, the longest acceptable pumping period is about 20 km.
