Early vision zero-crossing liquid crystal spatial light modulator

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

The design, fabrication, and performance of an optically addressed spatial light modulator (SLM) that determines the zero-crossings from a difference of Gaussians’ operation is discussed. The SLM consists of a ferroelectric liquid crystal (FLC) modulator on a CMOS VLSI chip. The SLM receives two optically input images and generates an output image.
