Abstract

Finding a binary pattern that matches a two-dimensional signal in some sense is a problem that arises, for example, in the area of digital holography. It is known1 that this problem can be solved by means of a Hopfield network. To calculate the interconnection weights and the thresholds of the network, the problem is formulated in terms of finding the minimum of the network's energy function.
