Comparison of angle and wavelength multiplexing in holographic data storage

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Traditionally, data storage in volume holograms relied on angular multiplexing. We show that wavelength (λ) multiplexing in a counterpropagation geometry offers some fundamental advantages by reducing the cross talk among information laden holograms. Some preliminary experimental results will be shown.
