Finite-difference time-domain simulation of ultrafast events in nonlinear, Fabry-Perot resonators

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

We model optical fields in nonlinear thin film resonators by numerical integration of the dispersive Maxwell equations. We explore the use of non-linear resonators to extract pulse shapes from ultra-fast fields and the use of pulsed images to create spatial patterns in nonlinear resonators.
