Transverse modulational instabilities in the presence of stimulated rotational Raman scattering with a high power laser

Abstract

When high energy laser beams are focused into spatial filters, small amounts of stimulated rotational Raman scattering (SRRS) can be generated providing a seed for this process later in the system.
