Modulation spectroscopy of a cavity-QED system

Abstract

Cavity QED experiments in the optical domain have been successful in making direct spectroscopic observations of the normal-mode splitting of an induced atomic polarization coupled to a cavity mode (“vacuum” Rabi splitting).
