Phase correction of coupled arrays of vertical-cavity surface-emitting diode lasers for on-axis emission

Abstract

Two-dimensional arrays of coherently coupled vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs) primarily emit in an out-of-phase mode that results in four major off-axis lobes in the far-field.
