A new look at the fundamental theorem of diffraction tomography

Abstract

In a paper dealing with three-dimensional structure determination of semi-transparent objects from holographic data1 a theorem was formulated which has subsequently become of considerable importance for diffraction tomography, where it is sometime referred to as the Fourier diffraction theorem.2
