3-D integration of thin-film devices for smart pixels

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Optoelectronic devices have greater function and versatility when they are integrated with circuits to form smart pixels. Thin film optoelectronic devices separated from the growth substrate and bonded to foundry silicon circuits using standard microelectronic processes are particularly attractive for low cost, high performance smart pixels.
