Optically bistable cavity driven by the output of another optically bistable cavity

Abstract

The canonical optically bistable system of two-level atoms inside a cavity can produce non-classical light.1 We investigate a more complex system formed by two of them. The output of the first cavity drives the second, but otherwise the two cavities are uncoupled.
