Toward nonlinear atom optics

Abstract

The last few years have witnessed considerable advances in atom optics and atom interferometry. In a parallel development, novel atomic cooling techniques have broken the recoil limit, so that atomic temperatures in the nanoKelvin and sub-nanoKelvin ranges are now possible.
