Response time of color perception at the periphery

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Response time from turning on a stimulus to switching on in an instant of light- or color-perception was measured. Test stimulus was presented at one aperture of nine loci in the viewing horizontal meridian. Luminance of the test stimulus and the surround one (size of 110°, N5 gray mat) was 45 nt.
