Computer-controlled laser illumination for use in medicine and biology

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

A portable and convenient in use set-up is developed on the base of transparent electrooptic PLZT (lead-lanthanum zirconate-titanate) ceramics. Maximum of simplicity, possibility to use a computer for the laser beam intensity control, the broad spectrum range from visible (He-Ne, Ar++, Cr++) to near infrared (solid state lasers) regions allows to broad the area of application of laser illumination.
