Reducing wrap-around error in Lohmann-type holograms

Abstract

The Lohmann algorithm for computer-generated holography is well known and easy to implement.1 It maps the complex transmittance (amplitude and phase) of the Fourier transform to the vertical length and horizontal position of a rectangular aperture within a binary cell.
