Abstract
Past work on the electronic holography gating method for imaging through biological tissue has used illumination by short coherence length light: some researchers have used ultrashort femtosecond laser pulses, while others have used a wavelength-tunable CW dye laser. For the purposes of holography, these two temporally incoherent light sources were demonstrated to be fully equivalent as long as their coherence functions are identical.
