Polydiacetylenes: excellent candidates as nonlinear optical materials

Abstract

A material is considered a good candidate for nonlinear optical applications if it shows a reasonable nonlinearity at low laser energy, large second or third nonlinear coefficients, and expresses fast responses to short pulses.
