Abstract

A detailed four-wave model of acousto-optic (AO) interaction1 in devices formed by planar waveguides and interdigital AO transducers has been used in this paper to identify the highest Bragg diffraction efficiency configurations with reference to the crystal orientation, monomodal guiding parameters, transducer driving radio frequency, f and acoustic loss.
