Raman spectroscopy of levitated diamond microcrystals

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Raman spectra are frequently used to characterize the quality of chemical vapor deposited diamond films and crystals. The spectra of CVD films often show features not present in high quality natural or synthetic crystals that are attributed to sp2 bonds, diamondlike carbon, or grain boundary effects.
