Spatial refractive-index distribution and power dependence of self-organized Bragg gratings in germanosilicate fiber

Abstract

Since the first observation of self organizing Bragg gratings in germanium doped silicate fibers [1] 1978, no accurate experimental measurements of the refractive index perturbation along the fiber length have been reported.
