Abstract

In earlier work(1) we showed that the dependence of the gain of a transphasor amplifier on the modulation frequency of the input signal is characterised by an effective time constant τe, thus: - giving a bandwidth Δv = l/2πτe (corresponding to |G| = G0√2). The dependence of G0, the low frequency gain, on τe indicated a constant gain-bandwidth product. However, by Including the full cavity parameters and calculating the absolute value for G0 we now show that this is not strictly the case.
