Abstract

We present experimental results obtained with an acoustooptic bistable device described by the differential-difference equation: where µ is the dynamical parameter, τd is the time delay and τ the response time. We will describe the time evolution of X(t) by constructing a 3-D phase space with the variables X(t), X(t-τd ) and X(t-2τd). The figure 1 shows a projection of the attractor of the system onto the plane defined by X(t-τd) and X(t) for τd / τ = 6 and µ = 1.05.
