Analysis of Laser-Induced Grating (LIG) Self-Diffraction in an Induced Absorbing Medium

Abstract

In the present contribution we investigate the dynamics of a system showing the nonlinearity of photoinduced absorption under LIG [1] excitation. The experimental realisation is obtained in CdS where plasma induced effects lead to a red shift of absorption and to optical bistability [2].
