Abstract

Free-space optical crossbar interconnection network is a complete nonblock interconnection network. A novel free-space separable optical crossbar interconnection network system is proposed, in which one, two, or four pieces of the monolithic integration of MQW optical detector with GaAs field-effect transistor (FET- SEED) would be flexibly used as node switching device. The rate of interconnection network system could be operated beyond 155 Mb/s.
