Abstract

The trend towards smaller size processing units and massively parallel computing requires optical interconnect technology that offers high packing density and flexible routing. Fiber Bundles (FB) and Fiber Image Guides (FIG) provide the ID and 2D arrays optical links that connect regular arrays of optical sources to optical detectors [1,2].
