Optical encryption using pattern-multiplexing in a photorefractive crystal

Abstract

We describe a holographic encryption system that utilizes pattern-bearing reference beams in recording optical images (pattern-multiplexing). Correlation of encrypted and decrypted images as a function of pattern rotation is presented.
