Abstract
Precise 6 DOF (degree of freedom) alignment of lens and sensor is essential for manufacturing the high performance cameras. The conventional 2D chart method requires multiple images with different focal points, so time and accuracy are problems. In this paper, 6 DOF alignment error is obtained from the 3D chart image. Since it needs only one image, it is fast and accurate. Furthermore, the roof type 3D chart can simultaneously measure SFR (spatial frequency response) at 100 or more points. Experiments have shown that it is 3 times faster and more accurate than conventional methods.
