Simulation on Double-Ring-Resonator-Type Device Considering Gain for Heat-Assisted Magnetic Recording

Abstract

A numerical simulation considering gain proved that a double-ring-resonator-type device for heat-assisted magnetic recording is effective for selectively exciting TE-like mode rather than TM-like mode thereby increasing the energy density at the tip of nano-antenna.
