Abstract
We propose a new optical configuration for compact quantum sensors that utilizes gratings and distance ultracold atomic samples from the grating structure. We show that the new configuration enables the center of the so-called grating Magneto-Optical Trap(gMOT), which is a laser-cooled ultracold atomic sample, to be realized more than a centimeter away from the grating plane without facing input laser beam power limitations.
