Abstract

There are two types of recordable disk media : the one using an ablative film forming pits through a process of melting or ablation1−4), the other that displays critical changes in its reflectivity and transmission absorbing the diode laser light power5−6). The latter type has a feasibility to be improved as an erasable medium if it satisfies some conditions for an erasable disk medium.
