Abstract

We have studied a simple PRML signal qualification method, calculated from mostly mistakable parts of the played-back signal stream. In the system, eight patterns of the minimum Euclid distance, each having the two transition paths, are permitted to be calculated RMS error between sampled and PR(1221) expected data. We have confirmed the validity of the qualification method with dual-layer high density sample disk.
