Abstract

We proposed a concept of a roll-type optical advanced memory(RoCAM). RoCAM is a multilayered optical memory, in which recording layers are wound onto a shaft. Multilayered media are fabricated easily by winding a two-layered film, which is composed of a photosensitive layer and pressure sensitive adhesives(PSAs) layer. We showed some advantage of the RoCAM, and also demonstrated a prototype of the RoCAM and recording and reading results of two-layers.
