Nano-composite Recording Layers Applied to Write-once High-density Optical Data Storage

Abstract

Feasibility of composite thin films containing nano-scale recording particles applied to blue-laser optical storage was demonstrated. Modulation higher than 0.5 was achieved in such a “nano”-HD-DVD optical disks when recording signals were written in.
