Wide-Temperature-Range Operation of 1.3 μ m Strained-MQW-DFB Lasers with Low Distortion for CATV Application

Abstract

1.3 μ m DFB lasers operating in wide-temperature range without cooler have been developed. Extremely low operation current of 37mA for 5mW at 85 °C is obtained. CSO measurements show low distortion less than −50dBc at 65°C.
