Simulation of Light Waves Transmitted in Nano-scale Waveguides

Abstract

A simulation of light wave propagation in nano-meter scale waveguides is demonstrated, which is based on a finite element method. This method can be applied to polariton (exciton-light coupled state) propagation in a waveguide and a directional coupler.
