Abstract

An X-band frequency synthesizer utilizing a phase-locked optoelectronic oscillator based on the deamplification of stimulated Brillouin scattering is experimentally demonstrated. Phase noise of -125dBc/Hz at 10kHz offset and frequency resolution of 8Hz are achieved.
