Fiber Fluid-pressure Sensor with Extended Air Cavity

Abstract

We report a miniature optical fiber fluid-pressure sensor based on a Fabry-Perot interferometer with extended air cavity and enhanced sensitivity. A sample with 830 μm air cavity length exhibit pressure sensitivity of about 3920 nm/kPa.
