Pilot Symbol-Free Iterative Optical Field Reconstruction for Power Fading Mitigation in Short-Reach IM-DD Links

Abstract

We demonstrate pilot symbol-free iterative optical field reconstruction based on modified Gerchberg-Saxton (GS) algorithm for power fading mitigation in IM-DD links. 45Gbaud PAM-4 is experimentally transmitted over 20km SSMF without dispersion compensation.
