Imbalanced Digital Back Propagation for Nonlinear Optical Fiber Transmissions

Abstract

We propose imbalanced digital back propagation (iDBP) that uses a varying power map in the virtual link. We derive the closed-form SNR expressions and conduct an experimental demonstration, showing the improved performance over canonical DBP.
