Abstract

We evaluated the BER dependence on distance in a 1.28-Tbit/s (320-Gbaud PDM-DQPSK) single-channel Nyquist pulse transmission for different roll-off factors α. A 3000-km transmission was achieved with α=0.5, which is 300-km longer than with α=0.
