Measurement of Transmitter IQ Skew in High-Speed Digital Coherent Communication Systems

Abstract

We propose a novel method for measuring transmitter IQ skew. Numerical simulations show that its measurement error is less than 0.1% in the presence of the other IQ impairments. Proof-of-concept experiments confirm its effectiveness.
