Hollow-Core Negative Curvature Fiber for Refractive Index Sensing Based on Surface Plasmon Resonance Effect

Abstract

With hollow-core negative curvature fiber, a refractive index (RI) sensor based on surface plasmon resonance effect is proposed. The average sensitivity can be up to -7024 nm/RIU in the RI range from 1.29 to 1.39.
