Parallelized Turbo equalizer design for bandwidth compensation in optical coherent receiver

Abstract

We proposed a parallelized SPA-turbo which was much simpler than BCJR-turbo and suitable for implementation. We got a turbo gain of 0.8dB for a 16-WSS distorted signal compared to the non-iterative BCJR receiver.
