Novel Hybrid-Waveguide EMLs for 100 Gb/s CFP2 Transceivers

Abstract

Novel hybrid-waveguide EMLs for 100 Gb/s CFP2 transceivers have been demonstrated. They were operated with low modulation voltage below 1.5 Vpp and under high chip temperature of 55°C at 28 Gb/s satisfying 100GbE and OTU4 specs.
